Jared Sorensen decided he wanted to be a rancher when he was 12 years old. Being homeschooled allowed him to get his school work done in a few hours and still have time to work on the ranch. He worked alongside his father and grandfather on their cattle and sheep ranch in northeastern Nevada. After college and a mission to Colombia, he met and married Selena McKay. She also grew up on a ranch and wanted nothing more than to marry a rancher and raise a family. Now, twenty five years later, they are parents to nine children, will soon be grandparents, and are carrying on the ranching legacy.
